Post update: Unfortunately, due to the public setting of this Canva template, the template file has been repeatedly changed and the link becomes unsharable. It has become too time-consuming to constantly fix the file and create new sharable links so I’m sad to say I have to end this free offer.
The template is now only available in the Learning Library of the Shopkeeper’s Academy. You are welcome to join by clicking here.
The popular wholesale line sheet question. Do I need one?
I hear this so often from makers and online shop owners.
As retail store owners, my sister and I often get approached about selling handmade goods in our brick and mortar store.
Retail store owners are extremely busy so you if you’re looking to sell your products in brick and mortar stores…
you need to provide a quick visual of products and wholesale pricing.
You risk losing a wholesale order when you aren’t prepared.
Two ways you can provide retailers with wholesale product information:
- With a website
- A line sheet
I understand websites can be expensive, challenging and lots of work. So a line sheet is the next best informational product you can provide a retailer. And if you plan on walking into boutiques and stores to sell your goods, a printed product list is so easy to hand over to a store owner.
But then what I hear next is: how do I make a wholesale line sheet?
There are many ways, I’m sure, but the most common: design one in Microsoft Word, create one in Canva, or you can have a graphic designer make one.
My first suggestion. Do NOT overcomplicate it. It doesn’t have to be fancy. It just needs to provide the basic information a store owner would need to know to place an order. Your line sheet should include:
- How to find you online
- How to send you an email
- Other contact information
- Product photos
- Other product info like product title and/or description, wholesale price, minimum quantity and suggested retail price.
As much as I appreciate good design, getting quick and concise information is more important.

As the community manager of a group of nearly 600 shop owners, I also know handmade artists don’t have a lot of time either. So I designed the template above in Canva to share with you!
Canva is an online graphic design software that lets you drag and drop items to create beautifully designed graphics and products. It’s free, surprisingly easy to use and if you grab my template it will save you TIME and MONEY.
As a result of the update listed at the top of this post, I am no longer able to offer this as a free template. It is now only available in the Learning Library of the Shopkeeper’s Academy. You are welcome to join by clicking here. There is a free resources library which is a great place to start the Academy and a few paid offerings to further your shopkeeping education.
