Darice Blog Post Round-Up
2022 UPDATE: Unfortunately, Darice closed in 2021 so you’ll find their website, offer and blog are no longer active. However, I am repurposing all the content I wrote for them and I’ll be sharing it here on my own blog in the future.
In December of 2018, Darice officially announced that I was one of their Business Bloggers. Darice is a wholesale manufacturer of craft and art supplies – their audience is also made up of makers, online shop owners, and retail store owners. Since that announcement I’ve proudly written a collection of blog posts that you might find helpful so I’m rounding them up here!
1) Selling To Retailers – Am I Prepared?
If you’re a maker looking to scale your business and grow into selling wholesale, this one is for you! In this post, I offer a free download for a checklist that will help you determine if you are ready to sell to retailers. Plus I give you some tips and tricks!
2) Holiday 2019 Trends at AmericasMart
If you’re a retailer or buyer and you didn’t have a chance to go to AmericasMart this year, in this blog post I share the trends my sister and I spotted at the Darice showroom while we were in Atlanta in January.
3) How to Run a DIY In-Store Workshop
This is another one for the brick and mortar store owners. If you’re intrigued by the idea of hosting workshops in your space, there are a list of things that will help you get prepared and have your bases covered. From the registration process to seating to terms and policies. Get the list here!
4) 10 Ways Retailers Can Take Advantage of National Craft Month
March has passed but this might a good one to bookmark for next year. Especially if you’re a craft store or a store that regularly offers DIY workshops.
5) 7 Tips for Creating an Eye-Catching Window Display
For the brick and mortar store owners, one way to get some attention and eyes on to your store is through your window display! Learn how to take full advantage of the space that can and should bring people in your door.
6) Small Business Trends for Independent Retailers in 2019
In this post, I’m sharing some of the current trends in retail. Having a pulse on trends is important for retailers. If you want to stay relevant and appealing to your customers, you should know what’s popular and working well for other businesses. Not all trends will apply to your store, but I agree with the old saying knowledge is power!
It’s been a pleasure and honor writing blog posts for Darice. I’m looking forward to the line-up of articles we have planned for both their readers and mine. Our goal is to provide brick and mortar store owners, makers and online shop owners with valuable information that will help their businesses!
