For the first time ever, Savvy Shopkeepers from around the United States will gather to learn, connect, and share! Our retreat is coming up very soon, and I want to make sure you have all the details.

Ticket sales close on Monday, August 2, 2021, at 4 PM EST, so if you want to attend, be sure to register ASAP.

The Dates

The 2021 Savvy Shopkeeper Retreat will be on Sunday, September 12, 2021, and Monday, September 13, 2021. I chose a Sunday and Monday because many retailers (though not all) are closed on those days.

The Venue

Our setting for the retreat is the gorgeous Frügthaven Farm in Greenville, Michigan. It is owned by Master Shopkeepers Member April Petersen and her husband.

The farm is home to April’s retail shop, Pink + Frillos, along with an apple orchard, a cidery, a coffee shop, a wedding venue, two 100-year-old barns, and a farm-fresh market. There is so much to experience and enjoy at the farm. I can’t wait for you to see it!

Be sure to follow Frügthaven Farm on Instagram to get a preview of this incredible space. And if you want to hear more about how April started the farm, listen to episode 37 of the Savvy Shopkeeper Retail Podcast.

The Itinerary

I’ve intentionally structured the retreat to be a relaxing, well-organized, and thoughtful event for shopkeepers. I know how much and how hard shopkeepers work, so everything is figured out for you for the two days of the retreat.

You don’t have to bring anything, decide where to go to lunch, find parking, worry about timing, or worry about any other detail, for that matter!

Attendees will park their cars or walk over from the hotel, and then the day and the details are handled from there!

There’s also built-in time to connect, along with plenty of photo opportunities. You can check out the full retreat itinerary here.

What You’ll Learn

Each attendee will receive a program book where you can take notes and find additional helpful information.

I’ll be teaching four educational sessions, and we’ll have several breakout sessions. All four of my presentations apply to all kinds of retailers. We have brick-and-mortar store owners and makers with online shops attending, so I’ve designed these sessions to be impactful for everyone.

Each session addresses one of the most-asked questions I get from shopkeepers:

Systems and Processes

I’ll teach you how to un-clutter your brains and businesses by showing you the process I use so you can start creating systems and processes.

Calendar Blocking for Time Management

I’ve taught multiple clients how to time block with success. You don’t need more hours in a day, but you do need to learn to respect and value time. Then you can start shifting the way your brain thinks about all of this.

How to GROW!

There are some critical pieces of information in your business that—if identified—can help you grow.  You just need to know where to look and follow the data.

Marketing: How to Get Noticed

Last but not least, this session goes hand in hand with a new digital book that I’m creating: How to Get Your Retail Business Noticed

The book is the culmination of 4 YEARS of information that I’ve been storing on a Trello board. It’s a resource that you’ll go back to again and again as your market your business. And best of all, retreat attendees will receive both a digital and printed copy of the book!

The VIP Dinner

We have over 30 Savvy Shopkeepers traveling from all over the United States! Almost all of the current attendees snagged tickets to the VIP Dinner event on Sunday night.

We’ll have a delicious meal catered by the head chef and owner of Clifford Lake Inn and live music by indie-pop duo FLYNN during the VIP Dinner. It will be a unique, intimate, and delicious experience!

Extra Special Activities: Yoga, Photo Opportunities, & Swag Bags

Lastly, we’ll have two special activities on the farm for attendees. An optional yoga class with Aptitude Rock will kick off the second day. Later, we’ll have a special photo session out at the Frügthaven Farm grain bins

And best of all, every attendee will receive a special swag bag thanks to our retreat sponsor, Tundra. Each bag will have some special offers and discounts from brands, along with handmade items made by our Savvy Shopkeeper members. I want to keep the details a surprise for now, but just know that these will be awesome!
