Get ready to do some online shopping!
I’ll be honest, I’m not a fan of the cold. I’m a bit of a freeze baby. But one thing I love about the winter season in the Midwest and Northeast has always been a wintry white scene.
Our Shopkeeper’s Lab membership group for retail business owners is filled with talented store owners, artists, and makers, and because I follow many of them on Facebook and Instagram, I get the pleasure of seeing their curated stores, beautiful artwork, and product listings.
So I decided to highlight some of these shopkeepers in this Wintry White Gift Guide!
Let’s start with Rachel Alvarez Art.
Rachel is a gifted watercolor artist who has one of the most efficient workspaces in her home that I’ve ever seen! She is nailing her art AND the art of running a home-based studio and shop – now that is talent!
Next up is Pineapple on Main. Kathy Piccari, one of the owners, curates a beautiful collection of items for her popular gift and home decor shop in Manayunk, PA. Her attention to detail and event planning is impressive!
These 100% organic cotton throw blankets by Abrams are luxurious and the pom-poms are a sweet touch. Can’t you picture yourself under this blanket next to a fireplace on a cold winter night?
Let’s move on to Gold Arrow Studios. Melissa Marini Jackson is the talented jewelry designer who blends some of her designs with essential oils.
“I am incorporating my love of natural oils and am creating essential oil jewelry to help you through those days where a slight scent of lavender will calm you or wild orange will give you that extra energy that you need to get through the day.”
Melissa’s pieces are beautiful AND affordable! This Pink & White Stone Essential Oils Bracelet is no exception and makes a beautiful gift for someone who appreciates the beauty of stones, nature and the healing power of essential oils.
Next, is the talented purse and bag maker, Jen Buchanan of Girls Best Trend!
Once a retail gift shop owner, Jen decided to pursue her passion of making bags a couple years ago. She now works out of her home studio and when you see her bags and purses, you’ll know why she pursued this dream.
Jen’s Happy Hour Clutches are one of her most popular sellers.
“GBT’s signature bag. Need to be hands free for your cocktail? Never fear, the Happy Hour Clutch is here! Wear the bangle and let your clutch hang from your wrist. Cheers!”
I’m not sure which I like better, the quilted white or the black and white houndstooth!
Last but not least, is costume maker, Cynthia Abernathy of Wyrd Armouries. Cynthia Abernathy is a costumer and leather worker, and also makes jewelry made from old books and game pieces. Her and her partner, Nathaniel, make up the team at Wyrd Armouries.
Don’t be mistaken though, some of her hand-sewn pieces like this White Fleece Capelet can easily be everyday winter-wear. Couldn’t you also picture this a warm cover-up for a bride at a winter wedding?
Now can you see why I decided to feature some of these talented group members? Now go start your Holiday shopping! If you’re like me, you still have a list of people to shop for.
